Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to launch its new phablet in India. The company has sent out media invites for the launch event scheduled for July 18, where it is likely to unveil the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. The invite reads, “Big is back. Last year we made ripples with this new category and now its back.”
The company, earlier in May 2017, launched the phablet in China. Successor to last year’s Mi Max, the device has a metal unibody design and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phablet comes with USB Type C port for charging and data transfers. It has rounded edges and antenna bands that run along the bottom and top. A 3.5mm audio jack and speaker are placed at the bottom.
In terms of specifications, the Mi Max 2 has a 6.44-inch full HD display of 1080×1920 pixels resolution. It comes with Android 7.0 Nougat OS, topped with the company’s MIUI 8 skin layer. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM.
