Super Eagles coach Salisu Yusuf has revealed that he is hopeful about signing his long-awaited contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) next week.
Speaking to reporters in Abuja on Thursday, Salisu Yusuf said: “I hope by next week I will seal my contract.”
“The NFF lawyer who will arrange the contract is not around.” he further added.
The former Enyimba and El-kanemi Warriors coach was initially expected to sign his contract immediately after new German manager of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, was tied down to a 2-year contract with the team.
Ahead of Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Salisu Yusuf was optimistic about Super Eagles’ chances against opponents such as Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia as he said: “With the right commitment and conviction, we will qualify for the World Cup with the group of young players we now have.”
