Eagles Star Balogun Doubtful For Zambia Clash With Hamstring Injury

Super Eagles star defender Leon Balogun is a doubt for the huge 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying clash with the Chipolopolo of Zambia after he was forced out of his Mainz 05 side’s Bundesliga clash with Bayer Leverkusen with a suspected hamstring problem on Saturday.
Balogun, who has formed a potent ‎partnership with Norway-based William Troost-Ekong in the heart of the Super Eagles defence, limped off just after nine minutes in the aforementioned match and he is now expected to undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury.
The 28-year old, who was recently named in the Bundesliga Team of the Week and has played in all five league games for his club this season‎, faces race against time to be fit for the clash with Zambia in Ndola on October 9.
