Side Effects of Oily Foods


Food has direct impact on your overall health. Food is fuel to your body. If you get sufficient and healthy foods, it keeps your body in functioning, otherwise there is a loss of energy and you feel like to do nothing. You become lazy and unhealthy.

It is very important to take healthy food, but taking too much oily and fast food may take you to obesity and eventually too many other diseases associated with it. Foods too high in calories are generally too low in nutrition. It is not necessarily bad to have junk foods, but taking them too often may cause harm to your health. Don’t replace healthy food with oily food.

Foods which are high in calories and contain saturated fats and trans fatty acids mostly cause skin related problems such as acne. They increase the production of sebum in your body which causes acne. It has been suggested by the researches that there is direct relationship between consumption of junk foods and acne.

Produce body odor

It has been shown by researches that oils and fats produce odors in our bodies. The consumption of red meat influences the body odor negatively.

Cause allergies

Allergy is the most common side effect of oily foods. there are 8 foods to blame for 90% of allergic reactions to food: milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts (including Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts), fish, shellfish, soy and wheat.

Junk foods contribute to yeast infection. It is caused by the overgrowth of the normal yeast in your body. The foods which contribute in yeast infection include sugar, starches, vinegar, refined carbohydrates, yeast and yeast products.

Acid reflux and heartburn:

Heartburn can be caused due to a number of foods which include citrus fruits, fried and fatty foods, vinegar, tomatoes, chocolate.

Some foods cause the lower esophageal sphincter which is a muscle that helps to keep stomach contents out of the esophagus. It makes is to become weaker and causes the stomach to produce more acid than usual. Both of these problems can increase acid reflux.

High cholesterol

Blood cholesterol level can be increases if you consume cholesterol rich foods. Cholesterol is mostly found in animal foods, such as beef, lamb etc, eggs, organ meat such as liver, spleen, kidney etc.

Oily foods also cause the kidney stones which is sometimes extremely troublesome. People who eat less fibers and more animal proteins are more likely to develop kidney stones. It has been shown in several studies that increasing dietary calcium and restricting salt, animal protein, and foods rich in oxalate, such as rhubarb, spinach, cocoa, nuts, pepper, and tea, can help prevent calcium oxalate stones from returning.

The other side effects which may be caused due to excess consumption of oily foods include, cardiovascular diseases such as high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, hear failure etc, memory and cognition impairment, edema and water retention, migraine and other types of headaches etc.
