Former world number one Caroline Wozniacki has won this year’s Pan Pacific Open after he saw off Japan’s Naomi Osaka 7-5 6-3 to win the title in Tokyo for the second time.
The 26-year old Dane fought back from 5-0 down in the first set to wrap up his 24th career title in just under two hours and has now won a tournament in every season since 2008.
Reacting to her title win, world number 28 Wozniacki, who received treatment for a thigh injury said: “I’m enjoying it at the moment.”
“Injuries happen and you never know when you can be taken out of the game, so i’m just savouring every minute. She further stated.
