The anticipated arraignment of Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, regarding an alleged N6.9 billion procurement scam has once again been postponed.

The first delay in the case occurred on August 17 as a result of Sa’adatu Yaro, the second defendant, being absent from court. It was reported that she became ill and was unable to attend court.

The case was postponed to August 23 in order to allow for the defendants’ arraignment, per President Judge Justice Hamza Muazu.

However, the case was not included in the Court’s case list.

Journalists, however, received no explanation as to why it was left off the list.Additionally, neither party’s attorney was present in court.
