Chelsea has announced the signing of Washington from Santos.

Chelsea have announced the signing of Deivid Washington from Santos for €20 million.

The 18-year-old forward has agreed to a seven-year contract extension through 2030, with an additional year option.

Washington has emerged as one of the most intriguing prospects in the Brazilian league.

He will join fellow countrymen Angelo Gabriel and Andrey Santos, who joined the club from Vasco da Gama and Santos, respectively.

Washington made his senior debut for Santos in a 3-0 Serie A win over Bahia in April.
