The TETFund pledges that monies will be implemented in universities as soon as possible.

On Thursday, the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund, guaranteed a quick and smooth application of its monies for the growth of Nigerian universities.
Mr. Sunny Echono, Executive Secretary of the TETFund, made the announcement during a two-day session for TETFund desk officers in Owerri.
Echono, who was represented by Mr. Erivwo Inene, Director of the Fund’s Strategic Planning and Development department, talked on the topic “Improving TETFund Intervention Programmes and Processes in Beneficiary Institutions.”
“The essence of this workshop is realized,” he says, “which is to engage, dialogue, discuss, and challenge us on ways in which we will improve our operations and smoothen the process of accessing interventions and their implementation by our beneficiary institutions.”
“The choice of the theme “Improving TETFund Intervention Programs and Processes in Beneficiary Institutions” was purposeful. As I previously indicated, Desk Officers serve as the point of contact between recipient institutions and the Fund for all activities and interventions, from start to finish.
“The Desk officers are responsible for the day-to-day operations that exist between the Fund and the institutions and are thus strategically positioned to perform tasks and functions that require them to be fully informed on the nature and methods of TETFUND operations at all times.”
“As a result, our institutions’ Desk Officers are expected to be fully equipped and knowledgeable about our guidelines and mandate.” This session is intended to bridge the gaps between the Fund and our beneficiary institutions regarding our procedures and processes across all of our intervention lines. Presentations will be made by the Fund’s divisions that process and reconcile these intervention lines. “These presentations will keep us up to date on new policies or changes in our operations or personnel as needed,” he said.
