Victor Kona, the previous chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Taraba State, passed away.After a brief illness, Kona passed away in Abuja early on Sunday morning.
The former chair’s departure was described as agonising in a news release sent by Emmanuel Bello, the media assistant to Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas, who announced the former chair’s passing.
He declared, “We lost a father and a model family man in addition to a political icon.” The place of Hon. Victor Bala Kona in our history is certain and will always be honoured.
His passing occurred just when the world needed his vast expertise and wisdom.”I hereby offer his family and all of us left to grieve this upsetting and irreversible loss my sincere condolences.”
The state PDP chapter’s public relations officer, Andeta’rang Irammae, sent a press release in the meantime, expressing the party’s sadness at the news of the former Chairman’s passing and pleading with God to grant him eternal rest.
The statement said, “The government and party that he had assiduously worked for would have continued to benefit from his fountain of wisdom and knowledge, so his loss at this time of our political journey is sad and colossal.”
