Edo APC, Senator Oyofo, and the monarch show their support for Niger Delta Minister

The Edo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Victor Kassim Isa Oyofo, who was elected under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) platform for the Edo North Senatorial District at the start of Nigeria’s Fourth Republic in 1999, and His Royal Highness Mallam Ali Suleiman, the Ogieaga of 3 Ibie, have joined forces to call for support for the Minister of Niger Delta Development, Hon. Engr. Abubakar Momoh,
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Edo State Chapter, Col. David Imuse, who was represented by the Deputy State Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe, expressed his respect and support for the Minister at a banquet hosted in his honour.
‘Today, we give testimony to the fruits of hard labour, guided by the values established in us by Senator Adams Oshiomhole, our leader and father,’ he said. I express my congratulations to the Honourable Minister on behalf of the Edo State APC and everyone gathered today, and I ask that we all give him all the assistance he needs to succeed in this task for our area’.
Senator Oyofo addressed the audience, saying, “We gather here not only to celebrate an achievement, but to honour resilience and dedication.” Alh. Abubakar Momoh exemplifies integrity and diligence—a true Edo State representative. His appointment indicates respect for his ideals, honesty, and extensive education. In my opinion, he is well-positioned to serve Nigeria with distinction. This assignment is not only well-deserved, but also predestined.’
Senator Oyofo, who was instrumental in the formation of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), emphasised, “Today, our son takes the helm to elevate the region to new heights, fostering prosperity in the Niger Delta.” The road ahead may be complicated, but we can face the obstacles together. Let us offer our help, share suggestions, and foster his path to success.’
‘Abubakar Momoh is an extremely inclusive individual,’ Oyofo continued. He is a deserving son of Edo State, known for his principles—honesty, hard work, and education—and, in my opinion, he has the ability to serve Nigeria effectively. This is an appointment that is both well-earned and well-deserved.’
‘This is an opportunity for him to unite the people of Niger Delta,’ Oyofo remarked, emphasising the significance of the appointment. I was important in the founding of the NDDC by divine purpose, and astonishingly, it is one of our own who will carry it ahead, giving joy to the Niger Delta community.’
The Niger Delta is a complicated landscape, and I urge all of us to assist it with progressive ideas and earnest prayers. We have come to offer our undying support and prayers to Rt. Hon. Tunde Akogun and Senator Yisa Braimoh. We will be there for you at all hours of the day and night, ready to offer advice if it is required. I salute my tireless brother, Adams Oshiomhole. We will accomplish a lot for Edo State and Nigeria with Adams and Abubakar Momoh.
‘We express our gratitude to the president and Adams Oshiomhole for this appointment,’ His Royal Highness, Mallam Ali Suleiman, the Ogieaga of 3 Ibie, said. Let us remember, as we celebrate this day, that togetherness is the key to success. Let us band together to support Abubakar Momoh and his endeavours.’
‘We like to express our heartfelt gratitude to God for this appointment,’ the Monarch continued. We thank the president and Adams Oshiomhole for making this possible. God has used Oshiomhole to bring us to the forefront. May God continue to bless him not only in Nigeria but also beyond its borders.’
‘When it comes to Abubakar Momoh, we could go on and on. He has faced obstacles, yet he remains focused on his goals. Eng. Momoh is one of our sons whom God has used to help bring our people up. He has withstood storms, and today I thank God that he is alive, well, and ready to reap the benefits of his dedication, sacrifices, and service to the cause of our people.’
“I urge everyone gathered here to join hands in ensuring the success of every endeavour entrusted to us,” the Monarch said. This can be accomplished by assisting Abubakar Momoh in reaching great success in this ministry. Abubakar Momoh, like Oshiomhole, should be a household name in Edo state because of his contributions to our people. He possesses all of the qualifications necessary to achieve the remarkable. My gratitude goes out to everyone here today, especially President Bola Tinubu for recognising his worthiness for this position. We beseech you all to join us in supporting him for the improvement of the Niger Delta.’
