Edo governorship 2024: A US-based group backs Agbonayinma

Honourable Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma’s bid for Edo State governorship in 2024 received a major boost over the weekend when a United States-based group, Edo Renaissance Organisation, ERO, supported him.

The ERO is comprised of talented professionals of Edo descent in the diaspora who are dedicated to the development of Edo State.

Agbonayinma, a former member of the House of Representatives known as E. J., is one of the main candidates for the Edo State gubernatorial election in 2024.

According to the ERO, this endorsement was made because of “Agbonayinma’s exceptional track record and unwavering dedication to service to humanity in corporate and public sectors, both in the United States and in various key positions within Nigeria.”

Agbonayinma’s efforts, according to ERO, have covered numerous sectors, demonstrating his adaptability and ability to affect positive change.

The group praised his outstanding work as a current Federal Commissioner in Nigeria’s Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, in combating corruption.

It noted that his unrelenting dedication to transparency, accountability, and probity has established an inspiring example of ethical behaviour in public.

Professor Emeritus A. Osa Obasogie, speaking on behalf of ERO, communicated the group’s collective mood during their annual retreat in Washington DC, United States of America.

He cited Agbonayinma’s significant involvement in creating the US Congressional Nigerian Caucus as evidence of his vision and passion to increasing collaboration between the United States and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

According to the Edo Renaissance Organisation, Agbonayinma’s outstanding credentials and imaginative leadership make him the best choice to drive Edo State into its next phase of development.
