AGF and NSA letterhead forgeries result in five arrests by the EFCC.

According to information released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, five people were detained on August 24, 2023, on suspicion of defrauding the public by obtaining money through the use of forged letterheads purporting to be from the Offices of the National Security Adviser, the Attorney General of the Federation, and the Minister of Justice.

Yakubu Mohammed, Bashir Ladan, Adamu Ibrahim, Steven Anom, and Mohammed Bello are the suspecWilson Uwujaren, an EFCC spokesman, claimed in an email exchange on Monday that “they allegedly conspired and used the letterheads to produce fake employment and recommendation letters for a fee, to unsuspecting members of the public.

“The EFCC added that as soon as the investigation into the incident is finished, the suspects will be charged in court.
