Letiface at Leverkusen signs Tella for £20 million.

In a reported £20 million transfer, attacker Nathan Tella from Southampton has joined Bundesliga team Bayer Leverkusen.Born in England to Nigerian parents, the 24-year-old had a breakout season last season while on loan at Burnley, scoring 19 goals to help the Clarets win the Championship.
He and the German team have agreed on a five-year contract. The club believed the offer reflected fair value, while being disappointed to lose such a talented homegrown player and well-liked character, Southampton stated.
Tella stated on the Leverkusen website, “Many younger players from the Premier League got a chance in the Bundesliga and were able to improve significantly here.””This is a strong squad that advanced to the Europa League semifinals the previous year.
I truly want to stick with Bayer 04 and go forward on this route.Tella joined the Saints academy at the age of 17, coming from Arsenal, and stayed for six years. He has made three appearances in the Championship this season, scoring one goal, however he was not included in the starting lineup for Queens Park Rangers’ 2-1 victory on Saturday.
