In Delta, police parade 67 people in response to an alleged gay marriage.

The Delta State Police Command displayed 67 gay suspects apprehended at an alleged gay wedding at a hotel in the Uvwie local government area.
DSP Bright Edafe, the state Police spokesman, said they would be prosecuted in accordance with anti-gay laws.
He stated that around one hundred of them were arrested, but that the number was reduced to 67 at the conclusion of the profiling.
“We apprehended about a hundred of them, but after an investigation, the number of suspects was reduced to 67.”
“They will be arraigned in court in accordance with the law,” he said.
An invitation to the party where the alleged gays were arrested that Vanguard spotted simply stated, “All white party /award nite.White and white is the dress code. 1k entry fee, 5k table for four. Date: August 26, 2023.”
The police image creator also cautioned adolescents to refrain from engaging in illegal activities.
He also encouraged people involved in illegal activities in Warri, Uvwie, and other parts of the state to refrain from engaging in such activities, stating that the command was committed to smoke them out.
“The command is always on the lookout for criminal elements in Warri, Uvwie, and other parts of the state.”
“On behalf of the state Commissioner of Police,.CP Wale Abass, I urge all youths to obey the law.” “Resist all temptations to engage in criminal activity because if you are caught, the law will apply,” he urged.
