Troops free 25 hostages held captive by Boko Haram in Borno.

Troops from the 144 Battalion have successfully liberated 25 hostages from Boko Haram terrorist camps in Borno and neighbouring states.
On Saturday, the army, in collaboration with the Hybrid Force, extricated 14 hostages during a clearance operation in Gobara village, Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State.
Brig-Gen Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, stated, “The rescued persons include six women and eight children.”
“On Sunday, troops from the 82 Task Force Battalion, working with the Hybrid Force, raided a Boko Haram enclave in Gava Village, Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State, and rescued 11 civilians.”
“All rescued victims are currently being profiled by troops.”
“Seven members of a Boko Haram family surrendered to troops of the 81 Division Task Force Battalion in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State on Sunday.” “There were three adults and four children in the family.”
He went on to say that in another anti-banditry operation on Sunday in Kaduna State, troops from the 2 Battalion, acting on actionable information, neutralised one criminal and liberated four kidnap victims in Kwana Shehu Village, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.
“The rescued victims have since been reunited with their families,” he said.
“Members of the public are urged to provide credible information to the troops in order to improve ongoing operations across the country.”
