Lukaku ends his Chelsea loan to Roma.

Romelu Lukaku, who was hailed as a hero by the Roma faithful, wrapped up his season-long loan from Chelsea on Wednesday.Roma has not yet released an official statement, but Serie A has verified that the trade has been completed by listing it as completed.
Following a concerning start to the current Serie A season, Belgium striker Lukaku’s arrival at Ciampino airport, just outside of the Italian capital, on Tuesday was met by thousands of fans.
According to Italian sources, Chelsea has agreed to accept Roma’s offer of about six million euros ($6.5 million) to sign outcast Lukaku for the current campaign. This gives the Italians the striker they have been missing since Tammy Abraham suffered knee ligament damage at the end of the previous campaign.
Lukaku has consented to move to Roma, who are governed by a Financial Fair Play settlement deal reached with UEFA, in exchange for a wage drop from roughly 11 million euros to roughly 7.5 million euros.
Roma has only gained one point from their opening two games, and their incapacity to turn superiority into goals was evident in their 2-1 loss to Verona on Saturday.
In the meantime, Chelsea has spent the whole summer attempting to get rid of Lukaku permanently in an effort to put an end to the disastrous transfer that cost the Premier League team both his enormous yearly wage and a 115 million euro purchase fee from Inter Milan.
