Son in Ogun kills his 100-year-old father with a machete

According to the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, Mathew Ifeanyi, who is accused of fatally stabbing his 100-year-old father, Anthony Nnadike, with a machete in Olorunda Ijoko, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, has been taken into custody. This was disclosed in a statement provided to reporter on Wednesday by the Corps’ Director of Information and Public Relations, Moruf Yusuf, on behalf of Commandant Soji Ganzallo.
Ifeanyi was rumoured to have admitted that he did it after he quit his prior employment to start his own business, but he was unable to provide him the money he saved with him because his father had passed away.
A portion of the statement said, “The Divisional Command patrol team was then directed to get the son arrested and to save the defenceless parent, Anthony Nnadike, and they sprang into action instantly.
“Ganzallo disclosed that upon arrival at the scene, the victim was critically injured and was rushed to the closest general hospital. The doctor subsequently confirmed his death.”
“Ganzallo disclosed that following a restricted arrest, the perpetrator was captured on suspicion of killing his father due to his failure to return the N70,000.00 that he had left with him on July 22, 2022.”Nonetheless, the suspect has been moved to the Sango divisional police station in anticipation of additional inquiry and maybe legal action.
