Residents of the Egbeda hamlet in Kobape, Obafemi/Owode local government area of Ogun State, were overjoyed when a private company recently provided them with a transformer, putting an end to the community’s 12 years of darkness.
Crestline Properties Nigeria Limited donated the transformer to provide indigenes and residents of the locality a new lease on life.
Speaking to reporters, Baale of Egbeda village, Chief Sunday Fasesan Solola, who couldn’t contain his enthusiasm, said the transformer’s presence marked the start of a transforming journey in the community.
He stated that the transformer’s arrival and installation will not only physically illuminate the town, but will also symbolise the company’s shared dedication to progress, unity, and common well-being.
“As you can see, the installation and energization processes had begun, and the previously shadowed streets of Egbeda and its neighbouring communities now embrace the brilliance of light.”
While emphasising the significance of the communal development that power will bring, Fasesan remarked that the gesture represents optimism, growth, and connectivity.
“Our community’s hopes for growth and development are finally coming true,” he remarked.
