A FRSC officer was killed and three others were injured in a car collision on the Nyanya-Keffi Motorway.

A senior FRSC official, who did not reveal his name, informed NAN that he is unable to provide any information since he has been traumatised.
A deadly accident involving a Federal Road Safety Corps towing van and a Dangote truck killed one officer and badly injured three others.
The collision happened early Friday morning, around 3 a.m., on the Kugbo Nyanya Motorway near the Karu bridge.
The tragedy was caused by mechanical failure (brake failure), according to the VIO Area Commander in Kugbo, Walter Amechi.
According to him, the FRSC towing vehicle was hauling a Dangote truck carrying cement to the VIO office in Kugbo after it had previously failed brakes.
He stated that the driver of the towing van was discovered dead, stuck inside the car, while the driver of the Dangote truck, the conductor, and one other passenger were injured.
However, a top FRSC employee who would not reveal his name informed NAN that he is traumatised and cannot provide any information.
He stated that the driver was an excellent subordinate, implying that a statement detailing the accident would be released.
Bawa Danmaigona, Divisional Traffic Officer, also told NAN that on August 31, there was a significant accident on the Karu Nyanya road that damaged multiple vehicles.
As of the time of writing, the victims had been brought to the hospital and were being treated.
According to NAN, the accident caused severe gridlock along the Karu, Mararaba, and Nyanya axes because drivers waited so long to cross the region where the accident occurred.
