Fulham have signed Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi in a deal for up to £22 million.

The Nigerian midfielder, 27, joined Everton from Arsenal in the summer of 2019 and played 123 league games for the Toffees, scoring six goals.

He has signed a five-year contract with Fulham, rejoining his former Everton manager Marco Silva.

“I’m buzzing,” Iwobi remarked, “and I just can’t wait to get started.”

Despite Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha’s earlier collapsed transfer to Bayern Munich, the deal went through.

Meanwhile, Fulham signed 26-year-old AC Milan and Senegal left-back Fode Ballo-Toure on loan. BBC
