Benamesia encouraged drivers to exercise caution and make sure their cars were in good working order before going on any travel.

According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun Command, six people were killed in an accident on the Imesi-Ile route.

This was said by the Sector Commander, Henry Benamesia, in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Agnes Ogungbemi, on Sunday in Osogbo.

According to Benamesia, two automobiles collided head on on Saturday about 9:44 p.m. due to one of them’s brake failure, killing six people.

He stated that a fast articulated vehicle (Red Daf) crashed with another blue commercial truck on Imesi-Ile hill, resulting in casualties

Before the arrival of the FRSC team, the Nigeria Police took five dead victims to the University Teaching Hospital in Osun (UNIOSUN).

“The last dead victim was trapped under the truck, and we were able to use an extricate machine to remove the trapped body from one of the vehicles,” added Benamesia.

Benamesia, on the other hand, recommended drivers to exercise caution and verify their cars were in good working order before embarking on any travel.

According to him, the accident included 17 people, with 11 leaving unharmed and six others dying.

He urged drivers to drive defensively in order to avoid any type of accident.
