Aliyu Bello, the newly elected chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, promised to reposition the party, make amends with all irate members, and maintain the party’s dominance in the state. Bello said he will use all viable means to address all issues and increase the party’s popularity in the state.

Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday, just after the party secretary was sworn in, Aliyu Bello stated that he would use his extensive political background to maintain the popularity of the APC in the state since he understood the difficulties the party was facing there.

“I am well aware of the difficulties facing the party and the need to realign the party. I will put all of my political experience to use in order to maintain and increase the APC’s popularity in the state of Nasarawa.

“I aim to build bridges of reconciliation among the aggrieved members of our great party APC and improve on the footsteps of my predecessors by ensuring team work and synergy among party officials at all levels,” Aliyu Bello claimed.

In addition, we want to initiate a calculated campaign to win back party members who have defected for a variety of reasons, as part of our manifesto.

Our goal is to fortify and bolster the APC in Nasarawa State,” he continued.

The party chairman, who declared that the organisation will quickly put in place mechanisms to guarantee the party’s triumph in the state’s 2024 local council elections. urged the people to be patient with the administration and with each other in light of the hardships brought on by the elimination of the fuel subsidy.

He applauded Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s commitment to see to it that the palliative measures reach every polling site in the state and guaranteed that they would be sustainably delivered to mitigate the consequences of the elimination of subsidies.

Recall that Governor Abdullahi Sule appointed former Chairman John Mamman as a Commissioner, and on August 30th, Aliyu Bello became the party’s new state chairman.
