Natasha is declared the genuine winner of the Kogi Central senatorial election by a tribunal.

Sen. Ohere has been compelled to pay Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan 500,000 as the petition’s cost.
The Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal issued a landmark decision on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, declaring Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan the winner of the February 25 Kogi Central Senatorial election.
The finding, which nullified Sen. Abubakar Ohere’s electoral triumph, was given by Tribunal Chairman Justice K. A. Orjiako, who pronounced the unanimous judgement of the three-man panel.
The decision of Justice Orjiako shed light on several crucial aspects of the election. The tribunal determined that Sen. Abubakar Ohere’s results in nine polling units in the Ajaokuta Local Government Area (LGA) were inflated.
Furthermore, it was proven that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) purposefully lowered Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan’s votes in the same local government district. In addition, INEC neglected to record results from three more voting units in the same LGA, which were purposefully left out of Natasha’s tally.
Sen. Abubakar Ohere received 54,064 votes in the election, narrowly defeating Sadiku-Ohere, who received 51,291 votes.
She turned to Twitter to celebrate her victory.
Sen. Ohere has been ordered by the tribunal to pay Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan the sum of 500,000 as the cost of the petition. It should be noted that Sen. Abubakar Ohere belongs to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
