Osanebi congratulates Tinubu on the Tribunal’s win

Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi, the All Progressive Congress APC’s Deputy Governorship Candidate in the March 18 gubernatorial elections, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT.
While reacting to the verdict, Osanebi stated that the outcome did not surprise Nigerians because it was clear from the start that the petitions submitted before the presidential tribunal lacked substance.
According to Osanebi, knowing he had so many obstacles to overcome, PBAT fought extra hard to win the election, adding that Mr. President was the only candidate who campaigned in every corner of the country.
“Today, my heart is overjoyed because God has granted our principal and President, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed, victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT.”
“As a Christian, I first and foremost give all glory to God for seeing my party and our leader through this difficult process.”
“In every election, there must be a winner, and at this time, Nigerians have chosen President Tinubu to lead them for the next four years, a fact that the PEPT decision has now confirmed.”
“I am therefore urging and appealing to the presidential candidates of both the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the LP, Mr. Peter Obi, to rally around and support President Tinubu in the interest of all Nigerians, especially as Mr. President has demonstrated so far that he is running a government of national unity,” the statement said.
In dismissing the petitions filed by the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, challenging President Tinubu’s victory in the February 25th presidential elections, the tribunal judges stated that the petitions were generic and that the petitioners failed to provide the necessary proofs to support their assertion that the elections were rigged in favour of President Tinubu.
