Ondo Rep requests Obi and Atiku will back Tinubu

According to Mr. Jimi Odimayo, an Ondo State representative in the House of Representatives, the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal’s decision represents the majority of the nation’s support for President Bola Tinubu.
The five-member PEPT panel affirmed Tinubu’s win in the presidential election held on February 25 and denied the appeals of Mr. Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party, and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.
In the lower house of the National Assembly, Odimayo, who represents the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency of Ondo State, asked the PDP and LP candidates to put the case out of their minds and work with Tinubu to rebuild Nigeria.
This was indicated in a statement that the federal senator provided to our correspondent on Saturday, which he released through his media office.
“I want to encourage Abubakar Atiku of the People’s Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party to work together with the president in the interest of the country and to realise the renewed hope agenda,” he stated.
“The court’s decision upholds the President’s mandate to present the Nigerian people with the Renewed Hope Agenda, putting our nation on a course towards development and prosperity.
“It is important to emphasise that President Tinubu has moved quickly to strengthen the economy and give our people more power. In addition to applauding the president, Odimayo stated that the PEPT victory was merited.
Because all problems were carefully considered and addressed in accordance with all applicable laws, our democracy has been strengthened and Nigerians’ freedom to freely elect leaders of their choosing has been equally preserved. The verdict is a victory for truth, the congressman declared.
