The Anambra woman, named as Chinyere Awuda, was buried in the Nnobi town of Awuda, in the Idemili South Local Government Area of the state. Her body was discovered next to an abandoned swimming pool on the grounds of a well-known hotel in Awka.
The 30-year-old victim, who graduated from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, was buried on Saturday in front of grieving family members. She passed away on July 15 after being battered to death in a hotel.Awuda was charged with collecting money that had been thrown around at a birthday celebration and killed by a mob beating.
Her family, friends, and former classmates attended her funeral and praised her for being a kind and calm man.Mr. and Mrs. Awuda, the deceased’s parents, were overcome with emotion as they bemoaned their daughter’s passing, expressing their sorrow that her passing was “undeserved.””She was our fifth child,” they stated. We were shocked to learn of her untimely passing.
