In Abia, thugs assassinate the leader of the Labour Party.

According to the PPRO, there are ongoing efforts to identify the killers of the LP chieftain.

The police command in Abia has revealed that hoodlums are suspected of killing a Labour Party (LP) chieftain in Uturu.

This was said in a statement released by the command’s public relations officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, on Thursday in Aba.

Zachary Nmaduka, popularly known as Power Zack M, a 70-year-old chieftain, was from Ezieke Akpukpa Uturu in the state’s Isiukwuato Local Government Area (LGA), according to Chinaka.

He claimed that in a pub in Amelechi Akpukpa Community, the dead was brutally attacked, shot, and beheaded by unidentified assailants.

“Immediately after getting this upsetting report, a joint team of police and army troops was sent to the scene.

Tragically, Nmaduka’s lifeless body was found.

The deceased’s remains were quickly removed from the scene and placed at Marist Mortuary Uturu, according to Chinaka. “Photographic evidence was captured at the scene,” she added.

According to the PPRO, there are ongoing efforts to identify the killers of the LP chieftain.
