President Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared on Thursday that former Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike is not only the FCT Minister but also his adviser.
Tinubu made the remarks while welcoming a high-powered 62-man delegation from Rivers state to the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
He reminded Rivers State stakeholders that he had heard their concerns about infrastructure development, particularly on the deteriorating Elementary Junction-Onne axis of the East West Road, which connects the Port Harcourt Refinery.
The President was cited as stating in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, “The Honourable Minister, Wike, is not only the Minister of FCT; he is also my adviser and an admirer of mine.” He has made a strong start, and the State should support him.”
“I am the Captain and Chief Salesman of the country,” the President remarked, urging the younger people to be more patient with government operations. We must reverse the trend and attain our goals in a short amount of time. Our people have high hopes for us. “I pledge to work hard and pray to God to guide me in the right direction so that I do not disappoint Nigerians,” the President ended.
