Movies Jimmy Odukoya worked as an actor before taking over as senior pastor of the church from his father.

Jimmy Odukoya, the first son of late pastors Taiwo and Bimbo Odukoya, has been named General Overseer of the Fountain of Life Church.

Jimmy, a Nollywood actor, will take over as Senior Pastor and Chairman of the Church’s Board of Trustees.

Rotimi Okpaise, a pastor, made the revelation on Sunday, to the delight of the shouting church.

Jimmy Odukoya will formally take over as pastor of the church on September 30.

“Pastor Jimmy is now our senior pastor and chairman of the Board of Trustees,” Okpaise explained.

As Jimmy Odukoya takes on a new position in Christendom, it is worth noting that he has previously worked as a prominent Nollywood actor, portraying roles in a number of fascinating and captivating films.

Among the films in which he has appeared are The Woman King, The Wait, and Love Cooked Up, among others.

The Woman king
In the 2022 thriller film The Woman King, Jimmy Odukoya plays General Oba Ade. He plays the character of the leader and general of the Oyo Empire, who wants nothing more than to spread his tentacles throughout the regions, as the major adversary in the Hollywood film.

The Wait
In a heartbreaking 2021 love letter film, The Wait, he also plays Akin, a loyal husband who protects his wife despite all circumstances.

In the 2018 Nollywood romance film Love Cooked Up, Jimmy Odukoya plays Chef Abbey, who reunites with an old flame when she appears as a guest on his cooking show.

He has also appeared in the films Baby Palaver, Crazy Grannies, I am Nazzy, and Man of Her Match.
