In Jos, Plateau State, a flood destroys 150 houses.

Following a downpour on Saturday and Sunday, floods displaced approximately 100 households in Anguwan Rogo, Rikkos, Bauchi Road, and Naraguta towns in Jos North LGA of Plateau State.

Tanko Yakubu Alhassan, a Bauchi Road resident, told reporters, “The flood did not claim lives, but it displaced over 150 households due to its size.” Those who have been displaced are currently residing with neighbours, acquaintances, and relatives.”

“We never expected it,” said victim Salamatu Aliyu. The tremendous rain has ruined my home, as well as the homes of my neighbours and several other Anguwan Rogo residents. We are appealing to the government and other concerned citizens to come to our aid.”
