Your internet perception of my marriage is inaccurate, says Regina Daniels

She affirms that the lifestyle she currently leads with her rich husband is only “comfortable.”

Regina Daniels, a Nigerian actress, explains her marriage to 62-year-old Ned Nwoko and says that it is better than what is implied online.

In a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, she emphasised that despite what people may believe after reading assumptions made online, their marriage is strong and that her husband often joins her in laughing.

“Truly, he is the real Odogwu, and our marriage is sweeter than what people see online,” the 22-year-old said. My husband and I sometimes read comments made online by people who say, “I am sure this is not how they are at home, laughing, and thinking, “If only they knew how it is inside our household.”

She continued by describing her stress-free lifestyle as a result of her marriage to Nwoko. She claimed that because they had domestic help, her husband fulfils all of her requests and she does not have to do any cooking or housework. Daniels continued, saying that her spouse prevents her from doing any housework, and that she considers her lifestyle to be “comfortable” rather than opulent.

She said, “I always get whatever I want. My husband would even chastise me for cooking and order me to leave the kitchen if I choose to cook when it came to that.

I can sleep for a week if I choose to do so because that is how things are. It is a cosy way of life, and an affectionate one at that.

Daniels emphasised that she does not care what other people think of her marriage since she is content and is receiving decent treatment, and she added that he is a good father to their kids. She continued by saying that, in contrast to what some internet users might believe, she and her spouse actually live together and sleep in the same room.

Daniels was only 19 years old when Nwoko and Daniel’s contentious wedding went place in 2019, and for days thereafter, it dominated social media. Nwoko claimed that Daniels was the sixth of his six wives in an interview with The Guardian Nigeria in 2022.

The couple welcomed two kids into the world between 2019 and 2023, who were both born on the same day and two years apart.
